Pastor Biography

Pastor Billy G. Dixon Jr. is a man of integrity who calling is to minister to the whole man; spiritually and naturally so.  An Oakland native, he was born May 2, 1965 to Pastor of Emeritus, Billy G. Dixon Sr. and Missionary Norma Dixon.

God saved him December 1996, and filled him with the precious Holy Ghost in February of 1997.  In time, he was ultimately called to the ministry and received his license as an ordained Church of God in Christ Elder in June of 2001.  After serving his Pastor faithfully, (Supt. Samuel Bobo Sr., Queen Memorial C.O.G.I.C.) he accepted his calling January 17, 2010 to Pastor At Thy Word Ministries C.O.G.I.C. located in Oakland, CA. 

Before becoming a Pastor he served in multiple facets of the ministry such as Assistant and Youth Pastor, Pastor’s Aide President, Sunday School Teacher, Bible Study Leader, and Trustee Board member.  He also currently serves as the President of the California Northwest Jurisdiction’s Youth Department, and Chief of Security under the Leadership of Prelate Bishop W.W. Hamilton.

 He previously served in the United States Navy and currently, works in law enforcement, for Santa Clara County Sheriff Department of Corrections.  Pastor Dixon received his BA in Christian Counseling (Psychology) from Southwest Bible College & Seminary.  He studies God’s word faithfully, in order to show himself approved and is currently furthering his education with expectation of reaching his goal of obtaining a Master’s degree in Christian Counseling.

He married the love of his life First Lady Danielle Dixon June 6, 1998 and they are blessed to be the proud parents of Miss. Amber J. Dixon. 

He has shown himself to be faithful in the duties that God has blessed him with and shall continue to let the Lord use him whichever way he chooses.  Being confident of this very thing, that he which begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
